 Hei was not in the best of moods. Well, more than usual while in the tower. Not surprising. He lost the love of his life and constantly kept losing everyone else around him. Old habits were just getting the better of him, and no matter what, that release was never going to come to him. Teaching, fighting, cooking, all of it never really helped. Some suggested he try dating, as odd as it was, but even he questioned who? Only person he knew quite well was Ishtar; there was Chloe too, but Hei would rather not push his luck.

So he merely kept sitting at the bed. Mao the mogwai wasn't there, actually taking over Hei for teaching; he taught the little fellow well. He didn't even notice Ishtar coming through the door to his shared room.
